Many problems that people have are fundamentally spiritual with associated physiological and psychological manifestations.

We see this in Gods Word and through the ministry of Jesus that many people are healed as they are delivered from demonic oppression.  This aspect of the ministry of Jesus, healing, and deliverance, was interwoven.  Many times deliverance was needed to receive healing.  It was so important that Jesus went from town to town casting out evil spirits and healing all those that were oppressed by the devil.  Knowing how to be delivered from bondage is so very important, but it is vitally important to know how to maintain our freedom once we have been delivered.  It is important to know the root cause (one example is the sin of unforgiveness) that opens the door and allows the enemy access into your or someone’s life.

Open doors to demonic forces is actually a result of not living our lives in obedience to the Word of God.  Jesus said that we should love the Lord God with all of our heart, mind and strength and love our neighbor as our self.  This sums up the Law and the Prophets.  Jesus said this new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another, love your neighbor as your self.  Obedience is essential to walking in the freedom that Jesus gave to us.

It is God’s desire to deliver man from the yoke of oppression and captivity, from the hands of evil.  Deliverance is a normal part of Christianity and it was what Jesus did setting the captives free.  Some people deal with horrible addictions and struggles and temptations, and yes they have to exorcise their senses to righteousness, absorb scriptures and need help and encouragement.  But many times they are trying to deal almost in their own strength with a force that has moved in on their lives.  But, God has provided the solution to the problem of satanic slavery in the person of His Son Jesus the Christ.  The Bible says in John 10:10 (Amp.),  The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy.  I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).   We need to understand how to walk in the power of God.  Ephesians 6:12 (Amp.)  We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Using the power of repentance and the Blood of Jesus and the authority of the believer to drive off the demonic connection.
